ETHOS CLASSICAL

This building’s south wall was built with defective below-grade waterproofing on its outside face – and then backfilled.  Once the wall started leaking, the challenge was to determine how to effectively stop water from entering the building, without having to remove all of the landscaping & backfill against that wall in order to re-waterproof it.

BMW DISTRIBUTION CENTER

The challenge for designers in this BMW construction project encompassed finding the most efficient waterproofing method for the expansive warehouse and covered parking facilities. Speed of application was crucial to maintain the construction schedule for this large-scale project, while ensuring enduring protection from the elements. Despite considering alternatives from competitors like Pentens and Penetron, the TechCrete 2500 Waterproofing System was chosen for its long-term effectiveness. Leveraging EMSS subsurface waterproofing technology, the system forms a waterproofing gel within the concrete matrix, ensuring durability over time. Its rapid application speed further facilitated timely project completion, supporting BMW's expansion efforts across multiple regions and generating employment opportunities.

BRISTOL MOTOR SPEEDWAY

The challenge for this project was to effectively waterproof the new 8’ x 9’ precast concrete tunnel sections that were being craned into place.  The purpose of this tunnel was to provide underground access from the parking lot outside the speedway … to the infield of the track.  The retaining wall also needed waterproofing protection.  The tunnel was 222 feet long and allows access from the grandstands to the infield area by going under the track.
