THE CHALLENGE
The timing of the waterproofing application portion of this large new construction project was spread out over the course of a few years, as different parts of the development were being constructed. The waterproofing portion of exciting new serviced apartment complex included pools … roofs … water containment … planters … and bathrooms. Basically, everything that touched water. It was critical that the waterproofing was able to be applied in tight timeframe windows and be done quickly in order to keep the overall construction schedule on time.
THE SOLUTION
The long-term protection provided by the EMSS subsurface waterproofing technology used in the TechCrete 2500 Waterproofing System is exactly what the architect was looking for. Its ability to form a waterproofing gel inside the concrete matrix itself – allowed the designers to provide long-term protection for all parts of the project that required true waterproofing protection – not just a concrete sealer. In addition, the very fast speed-of-application provided by TC 2500 allowed the construction schedule to stay on pace, ensuring the project was completed in a timely manner.
