THE CHALLENGE
The Best Western Premiere Grand Ion Delemen Hotel project on top of the mountains of Gentling Highlands is one of Malaysia’s iconic hotels. This new construction project required reliable concrete waterproofing during the erection of seven towers, and all of the areas in need of water containment (pools, fountains, etc.). It also required waterproofing for the car park structures and rooftops.
THE SOLUTION
The architect had been searching for a long-term waterproofing solution to provide several decades of protection. The TechCrete 2500 Waterproofing System, with its EMSS subsurface waterproofing technology is exactly what the architect was looking for. Its ability to form a waterproofing gel inside the concrete matrix itself – allowed the designers to provide long-term protection for all parts of the project that required true waterproofing protection – not just a concrete sealer. In addition, the speed-of-application provided by TC 2500 allowed the construction schedule to stay on pace, ensuring the project was completed in a timely manner.
